The Carbon/Aramid series offers the perfect combination of protection
and comfort/convenience. Only half inch thick, they easily fit under your
jacket or suit. Carbon/Aramid panels with an additional layer of Aramid
provide great spine protection.
WHY CARBON/ARAMID? Carbon fibre is extremely strong and light, Aramid is fabric-like and has tremendous resistance to puncture and tearing, which is why it's used for ballistic vests, etc. Carbon & Aramid together produce an awesome combination of strength and flexibility providing an anti-penetration barrier in a very thin cross-section. An extra layer of Aramid is placed underneath the composite, which is then mounted over the plasticized absorbent rubber foam carrier. This provides unbeatable protection in a section just over 1/2" thick!
Available in both profiles (with tailbone protection), and Touring (for a more upright riding stance) in 6 and 7 plate, these are really popular with serious road riders who want to ride with protection as well as occasion track day riders.

NEW AEROSTITCH VERSION Following hundreds of requests from safety minded riders with what's regarded by many as the safest suit, we now have available a version of the Carbon/Aramid Back Protector to install straight into a 'stitch' suit. It fixes straight into the Velcro mounting points, and also has the benefit of some kidney belt support. So you can put on your protector at the same time as your suit! Easily adaptable to other riding suits by fixing Velcro in the lining.
